Client A
Overview
We began providing Client A with staff in 2001. We were one of four agencies supplying temporary labour. In 2004, all four agencies were measured on their quality of staff, response times, efficiency in dealing with bookings and overall performance. As a result the amount of agencies being used was reduced and we were awarded a primary supplier contract.
Ordering of Operatives
- Production varies on a day-to-day basis, therefore temporary bookings vary.
- Operatives call throughout day and put their names on the availability list.
- Orders for staff are placed by mid-day but can increase or decrease as late 6pm in the evening.
- We offer a pro-active response to all bookings, however late in the day the order is given.
- Back up staff are always on stand by, incase of no-shows or any additional bookings from the client.
- Shifts can vary from between four and eight hours. No prior notice is given as to how long the shift will last and transport has to be available for staff as soon as the managers / supervisors inform us that the shift has finished for that day.
Servicing the client
On a regular basis we meet with Client A to assess KPI’s and to ensure our service level is not falling below the agreed customer requirements. We constantly review and adjust our service levels to ensure cost reductions can be offered through operational efficiencies coupled with the high quality service we pride ourselves on.
Client B
Overview
We began supplying staff mid 2006 with a Fork lift driver. By November 2006 we were supplying up to 60 staff per day in various departments and shifts. Our client is a major manufacturer and supplier of refrigerated display cases for the retail supermarket industry.
We supply specialist cleaning teams who travel all over the country fitting, cleaning and refurbishing the display cases.
- Manufacturing site: we supply staff in various departments including paint room, yard, manufacturing etc.
- There are three shift patterns days, afternoons and nights.
- Off site: we supply teams of operatives who travel throughout the UK, often with only an hours notice for up to 5 nights at a time, fitting, cleaning and refurbishing display cases.
- As part of the service we provide to the client all staff that work off site are provided with good quality accommodation, daily expenses and are paid for their travelling time.
- All staff that work off site must be CSCS card holders, this is the construction industry’s competency, health & safety awareness standard. People People provide the CSCS course and arrange the CSCS tests for the staff.
- Ordering of the off site staff is generally done 2 to 4 days prior to work commencing, however, last minute changes can lead to staff being ordered on a Sunday which emphasises the need for standby staff.
Servicing the client
People – People meet regularly (at least once a week) with department heads, production managers etc to assess our KPI’s and ensure service levels are being maintained and exceeded.
